Dr. Tushinski is a fellowship trained arthroplasty surgeon. He completed his medical school and residency training at McMaster University. He then underwent fellowship training at the University of Toronto, Mount Sinai, in lower extremity reconstruction. His current orthopaedic practice includes anterior and lateral total hip arthroplasty, total knee arthroplasty, deformity correction, revision arthroplasty, and posttraumatic reconstruction.
His research interests include same-day home arthroplasty and opioid reduction strategies. He is currently the Clinical Teaching Unit director at the Juravinski site, and Fellowship director for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at McMaster University. He is completing his Masters of Science in Health Research Methodology. He is actively involved in education, research, and administrative work at both the University and hospital level.
